Cancer and the Federal Election:

Taking control of cancer is a public policy challenge as much as it is a scientific and medical challenge. From ensuring that all Canadians have adequate, affordable prescription drug insurance, to enacting laws proven to reduce exposure to dangerous substances, ultraviolet radiation, tobacco exposure, to promoting healthy eating and active living efforts in communities, schools, and workplaces, interaction with local, provincial and federal governments is constantly required.

One of C2CC’s very own lead volunteers, Mike Kennedy, will be posting a blog update each Monday during the federal election on www.fairtreatment.ca, tracking the parties and the candidates, on the issue of funding a Catastrophic Drug Coverage program for all Canadians.

Follow Mike on twitter as he engages the federal candidates in a dialogue about Catastrophic Drug Coverage – and you can take action by asking the candidates – If elected, what will you and your party do to ensure the federal government establishes a minimum standard of drug coverage for all Canadians?”

Write and let us know what you hear from the candidates. info@c2cc.c
